I've been underdriving them with a 52 (peak) X 4 headunit and they still respond pretty darn good and have alot of bass for the size. Unfortunatly my headunit isn't allowing these babies to shine so I've invested in an Amplifier. I know it's going tobe the second night and day upgrade since I put the speakers in to replace my factory ones.
I recommend these. Edit: I am now powering these with 80 watts per channel (4 Channels and a seperate sub with another amp). They rock the house. Excellent sounds and value.

I installed another sub a couple of years back but it was getting beat up and I wanted more from it. I decided on the Pyle because 2 of my buddies already had them and I dug the blue led lighting and volume. So far they are awesome- don't use crazy juice to put out sound and a they pump a solid low frequency sound . Not too vibey for the power either. Solid bass from this sytem

(More customer reviews)this unit does what it's suppose to do. this is the first ipod radio in my truck i've owned. let me say this unit may be easier to work and go through your music then the ipod itself. a friend hooked up his ipod classic to it with thousands of songs, and found anything you wanted in the snap of your fingers. the video podcasts and dvd's played just like a dvd player, it played great. you can adjust the picture sizing several different ways. this 7in screen gives me a bigger picture to look at my video podcasts vs the ipod touch screen. i haven't really read the manual that comes with it, although the manual looks very detailed to tell you everything about the unit. i've figured almost everything out just by playing with it, very easy to use. the one concern i had about listening to music from my cd's to music stored on a ipod was sound quality difference between the two. the sound my mp3 player on my home stero unit was a lower sound than my cd's. so when it was first installed, i played some music from a cd i like, and from the same music from the cd on my ipod player. i'll say i was very happy with the sound i got from my ipod compared to the cd. the loudness, and bass boast on the pioneer makes a big difference. plenty loud enough, and the quality is very good. i've had it for a month, and i'm loving it. the place i got it installed had the same unit for $679.00 and amazon had it for $482.00. by the time i bought the unit, the remote, and the ipod cable, and the install, it came out the same price as what the car store was selling it for. very happy with my purchase.

This unit is much more intuitive and easy to use, far more versatile with the number of inputs and seems to be a much higher quality product to boot. Everything is set up to be as easy to use as possible. Flash memory and iPod control are plug-and-play. It simply couldn't be any easier! The only reason this got 4 stars rather than 5 is because it only has 2 sets of outputs. One more pair and this unit would be perfect!

(More customer reviews)I had this unit profesionally installed in my Porsche Cayman and the custom installation is a very good fit. The navigation system is very easy to use - if you've had a garmin (that is what it is based on), you pretty much do not need to read the manual - it is very intuitive and accurate. I've driven about 2000 miles with it and I like the large bright display - it is easy to change directions and detour on the fly. It does not have voice commands, but the touch screen is easy to use.
I have also used the bluetooth with my Razr phone and have not encountered the problems stated in the earlier review. The microphone is placed near the rearview mirror and only the front speakers come on when I'm talking on the phone - the unit shuts off any music that you might have playing. I use the touchscreen to dial a number and it works well - the folks at the receiving end have no problem hearing me.
There is also an ipod adapter that is in the glove compartment - once hooked up all controls are on the touchscreen - it is easy to use and works well. If one puts in a DVD / CD that takes precedence over the ipod unless you instruct the unit otherwise. I leave the unit to power up when starting the car and it automatically shuts off when the engine is off. I haven't used the XM stations as I do not subscribe to that service but the FM stations pull in fine using the standard antenna that came with the car.
All in all this is a very good unit and I am very happy with it.

(More customer reviews)I liked the BOSS BV8755B on paper for the features it has, but unfortunately this is a very poor quality device. The time display will only show AM, not PM - apparently a bug in the firmware. The RDS feauture also does not work. The detachable face will occasionally pop off on its own if you drive over a bump. The FM reception is lousy compared to my factory stereo. The built-in mic is too small and nobody can hear me during a Bluetooth phone conversation unless I yell. There is no way to add an external mic either. The display also shows some kind of graphic equalizer which is very annoying as it does not react to the music or sound. I attempted to add a backup camera and was unable to get a display. I'm unsure if the camera was at fault or if it was this POS.
ANTOnline refused to accept the item as a return. Their customer service talks in circles and only referes to their anti-consumer retun policy. They suggested I contact the manufacturer to address my problems. Attempts to get all my issues resolved with the BOSS are proceeding at a very slow pace. If you decide to buy this after reading my review make sure you find a retailer that has a favorable return policy.

Kenwood Kdc-Mp745U CD/AM/FM/USB Receiver Review

Most seem to be saddled with 1990s technology and pathetic MP3 support unless you are willing to buy an Ipod or a satellite radio subscription. I'm still waiting for a car stereo with proper MP3 support, but this Kenwood is pretty close. Let's get down to the pros and cons:
Pro:
* Sensible MP3 support with only a few big limitations (listed below). Other MP3 players I checked out had all sorts of absurd weaknesses like one player that literally dumps all of your MP3s into a difficult-to-navigate list.
* Big and easy-to-read display.
* USB is in the rear so that you don't have a flash drive sticking out of your dash.
* Huge number of settings and options. They not only exist, but the UI of the main panel makes it easy to change the settings.
* The audio is great. In fact, the audio is too good for its own good! You can easily crank up the levels to a point that still sounds clean but overheats the player to the point it enters a safe mode where it lowers to cool down, returns to loud, lowers to cool down again etc...Cons:
* USB cannot even power a small laptop-style harddrive even though my laptop's USB port easily handles it.
* MP3 storage devices are limited to 256 folders. Even though this thing can handle a 32GB flash drive, and probably more, the 256 folder limitation is a significant, and unnecessary, barrier that seems like a relic of the 1980s that will force you to make concessions with your music library. Considering that my 32GB chips are already maxed out, you can assume there will be little point in upgrading to 64GB, 128GB, or higher flash drives during the time you will own your vehicle.
* No mute button! How can there be no mute button?
* Settings are lost when the power is completely cut. No, turning off the ignition will not lose your settings, but you will sometimes find mechanics disconnecting the battery when performing maintance.
* Must use buttons instead of a dial to change the radio station.

* Disc drive is a CD drive instead of a DVD drive. I do not expect video capabilities from this, but considering the CD format is long obsolete and DVD drives handle all of the functionality of those old drives it sure is unfortunate that the disc drive cannot handle MP3 from DVD.

* This complaint is a bit unfair but I have a Sansa Fuze MP3 player that froze the Kenwood and it had to be reset. If you connect the Sansa, then turn on the car's ignition that process seems to screw things up and it causes the headunit to freeze. It happened twice. The Kenwood never said it was compatible with the Sansa Fuze, but it was a bit odd that the Kenwood wasn't designed well enough to at least not crash when unexpected devices are connected.

They sound is much crisper and cleaner throughout; however, the one thing it lacks is a rich bass sound. So if you are looking for that, these are not the speakers for you. Though these speakers are rated at 25 RMS it can probably take closer to 40 or 50 RMS as kicker under rates its products. I am very happy with the sound quality and you cannot beat the price.

Pioneer DEHP4100UB SCD Receiver with USB control and OEL Review

(More customer reviews)The feature-set of this head unit is quite impressive for the price. It has good quality amplifiers with a flexible setup to allow use with a variety of configurations. The integrated USB input allows an iPod or flash storage to be connected as a music source. Expensive CD-changers are no longer relevant, and affordable flash drives can hold entire music collections in a tiny package. This receiver boasts a capability to improve the sound of compressed audio files, but while discernible, the difference is subtle.
The radio tuner works very well to provide clear, drift-free reception, although the unit provides no buttons to tune the presets. Instead, the single multi-controller must be moved up or down to navigate sequentially through the saved channels. Additionally, setting the stations is cumbersome as it requires several buttons to be pressed to tune and specify the new preset location. Once programmed, they are fairly easy to select.
The only gripes I have thus far concern the interface: the receiver is not intuitive for the untrained user. The buttons are not labeled well, and they all appear the same. It takes careful scrutiny to find which one controls which function without reading the manual. In fact, it is nearly impossible to program without doing do. Even the setting the clock is tricky, given that the unit must be "off" before one can access the mode to change the time.
When playing music from a USB storage device, the unit does remember the current track between sessions. In other words, it plays from where it was when you start up the car next time. However, when navigating the music storage it always displays the top folder first. This makes it difficult to find the "next" artist or album without already knowing the structure of the drive. In fact, the display is restricted to showing only one attribute at a time, though it can be any one of the title, album, artist, etc. However, when changing tracks while playing, the display switches to a "folder number" that has been assigned by the receiver. It can sometimes be confusing to know which album or folder you are selecting when this occurs. Needless to say, it is not advisable to attempt this action while driving.
That said, the unit installed easily into my vehicles DIN-sized opening. The wiring block detaches from the rear of the receiver, making it convenient to solder the wires to a harness designed to match the car (obtained from Crutchfield). Several optional expansions make this receiver ready for the future. A bluetooth adapter (Pioneer CD-BTB200 Bluetooth Wireless Adapter) can integrate a cell-phone into the system. Also, there will be an HD-radio receiver available (GEX-P20HD), to tune digital HD signal, but it doesn't use the existing model (GEX-P10HD).
Overall, I am impressed with the sound quality and feature-set. It may seem like I am overly critical above, but I wanted to identify issues that are often not addressed. Once you learn the functions, it is fairly easy to use, but be prepared for confusion from occasional drivers or the car or passengers.

Anco 9124 Aero Advantage Wiper Blade - 24" Review

(More customer reviews)I've been using AeroVantage wipers for a long time (and Amazon, it's AeroVantage, not "Aero Advantage") on all my pickup trucks over the last 15+ years. They fit perfectly regardless of the truck make/model, and I get a smooth clean wipe without chatter, smearing, or lifting in wind or on the highway.
I've had other blades fall apart on me... one Bosch Micro Edge in particular forced me to stand in the rain and switch the one working blade from the passenger side to the driver side so I could see, after the driver's side blade decided to call it quits and fall apart. Never had such a problem with Anco, I recommend them, and I have not found anything better for my applications.

Pylon Wiper Blades - 18 inch Review

(More customer reviews)If you're looking at these blades, you probably are doing so for the same reason I did: they're dirt cheap. However, let me save you some money, frustration, and possibly keep you a bit safer -- these are rubbish. Plain and simple, these blades are bad. If I was ambitious, I'd do a video review and show how horrendous these really are in action, but, to be honest, I'm just not that ambitious feeling right now.
Their first test came after a snow storm, following a semi, which was kicking up large amounts of spray thanks to the snow and ice being melted by salt on the road. Those of you who live in northern climates know what a nasty, hard to see through film salt spray from roads leaves on your windshield. Well, these wipers hardly cleared a thing. I had to pull over and clean it by hand with snow from the ditch more than once.
Fast forward a couple weeks. A rare December RAIN storm comes (usually any precipitation in December is snow up here). Perhaps these blades are just not build for tough winters, but at least they should handle rain, right? WRONG. Although better than the salt spray, to say these did a decent job would be a gross exaggeration.
Finally on my way to work one morning there was a slight film of the aforementioned salt spray. I hit my wipers and washer fluid to clean it up, and... nothing. It's as if somehow the blades levitate OVER my now sprayed windshield? The top of the arc on the passenger side did clear about an inch of fluid, but that is utterly worthless to me, the driver.
So I swung into Wal-Mart and got a new set of blades of a different brand, which work exponentially better. The moral of the story, spend a few dollars more, save yourself money and time in the long run.

Valley Tow 33805 T-Connector Review

(More customer reviews)Piece of junk. Firstly, the wires weren't run correctly. The colors for identifying which wire goes to which turn signal were wrong. Left blinker turned on the right one, and vice versa. I had to cut and splice the wires onto the correct locations. That's right...even with the plugs. And then...
The thing melted after using it for a few months. Shorted out my whole lighting system, and caused me to lose all indicator lights until I removed it.
Lest you think I just screwed up installing it, I did it twice. And this is not my first trailer wiring harness. It's pretty idiot proof, the plugs only line up one way. Anyone who's done this before knows that if you're buying any harness, it comes with plugs, and just piggy-backs onto your existing wires via the manufacturer's plugs. They only go together ONE WAY.
Piece 'o crap. Definitely do not recommend.
