(More customer reviews)The light from this GE Nighthawk bulb is whiter and brighter than the OEM 9003 bulb it replaces. Due to the sharp cutoff characteristics of the lens assembly of my car, I can't say that the light beam being thrown is significantly farther. The light is definitely brighter and whiter in color within the beam area making it easier to see at night. I did not try the more exotic brighter bulbs available because of reading reports that their extra high current requirements might overtax a car's wiring causing insulation to melt. There was also a 2-for-1 special pricing when I purchased this set of bulbs that made it an extra good buy.
