If you don't need music that can be heard a block away, this may just be the amp for you. Don't let the picture fool you, however. This thing's big. As in it's bigger than my 1200 watt class D Pioneer amp (which powers my subs). I have this specific amp installed behind my driver's seat, and it does great. There is more frequency response especially in the mids (which for some reason Sony heads don't handle too well). It's driving a set of Polk db651 and Infinity Kappa 5 1/4. I hear things that I never noticed being in the songs. I barely heard any distortion even in the higher volumes, but this is with 2 12" subs sucking the life out of my battery/alternator too. At 50w RMS, it's a pretty safe bet that unless you listen to your music loud enough to need earplugs (which at that point I'm sure distortion isn't a factor) then this may be your amp.
My one complaint is the gain sensitivity. It's a little TOO sensitive. It's a trick of making minute adjustments and a little adjustment can make a big difference with this amp. It says "input level" but we all know it's just another fancy term for gain :) It was negligible for me, so I'm not docking a star for that.
The high-pass/low-pass feature was a BIG factor in me buying this. I use subs. Why do I need 2-way speakers pushing out frequencies they aren't designed for? Let alone such costly and small ones. Don't get me wrong, they'll push out the bass, but I wanted to play it safe.
It's not a class "D" amp, so if you're looking for something to tuck away under the back seat with no airflow coming to it, keep moving. It will overheat without some kind of airflow. Read: If you aren't prepared to put it underneath the driver's or passengers seat or have it professionally installed you may want to reconsider.
All that snazz at such a budget comes with a little bit of a price, though. It's not a class "D" amp. It "only" has a SNR of 75dBa, so you might also want to consider the noise of your electrical system being a factor unless you use shielded RCA cables and good speaker wire (each is like 10 bucks a set/spool in the auto section at Walmart)
In short, if you're on a budget and can't afford an "Alpine" or a "Kenwood" because you spent that money on speakers that these amps would actually make a difference on, then this amp will more than work for you. Just take electrical system noise into consideration when buying cables and wire for it.
