(More customer reviews)For Christmas, I finally got the 21st century stereo upgrade I hinted at for my '99 Honda CRV. It sounded great, but I could hear that the factory speakers were really holding it back. With a limited budget, I looked for some inexpensive speakers on the web. I have Boston Acoustics for my home system and have always really liked them, so I kind of locked-on to the Boston Acoustics S65RC's when I saw them. While other sources were asking $120-$140 a pair, I was able to replace ALL FOUR factory speakers for a bit less than that, including shipping, through amazon. The improvement in the sound was huge. Like the difference between that indie rock band across the street practicing with the garage door open or with it closed - but in a good way. {';'}
I don't know from super-hi-end audio gear, but I do have ears and these speakers have made long-distance driving to gigs a joy.
(BTW - They fit my CRV fine, BUT, I did have to drill some new holes for screws. Not a biggie)
