Roof Rack Locking Cross Bars Mitsubishi Outlander, Montero Review

(More customer reviews)The title of this review pretty much says it all. We bought these cross bars before a recent camping trip because our Outlander just does not have enough room inside. We purchased a roof top carrier to carry extra gear but the Outlander doesn't have crossbars factory installed.
When the package arrived it had some pretty simple instructions so I set about getting these installed. Even with the drawings, I had a little trouble figuring out just how to attach these things. The hardest part was determining which screw to tighten when on the stands and if you don't get the angle right, the crossbars won't go all the way through. It took me around 45 minutes to get this in place.
Once the crossbars were on, they worked great. Very solid and I had no concerns tightening the roof carrier bag as tight as it goes. We went at highway speeds and nothing moved.
I hesitate taking them off now although we probably won't use them for a month or so, just because they were difficult to install. But once we got past the install part these crossbars work exactly as described.

Stabilus Trunk Strut Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this for my 89 bmw 325i. I received it on time but I'm not completely satisfied. It doesn't really hold my trunk open very well. You have to be very careful not to touch the trunk lid or shake the car to keep it from slamming closed. It is better than having to hold it open when you are getting groceries out though. Oh well, I guess you get what you pay for.

Thule 961XT Speedway 2-Bike Trunk Rack Review

(More customer reviews)I've used this bike rack for over 10,000 miles across the U.S., on two sedans and one SUV. It's always been secure and rock solid (tried only one bike) at every speed I've driven, ranging from highways to gravel roads in all weather. It is an effective bike carrier and I do recommend it. There are some minor pitfalls though.
The mounting is tricky, with any car. It took me 40 minutes the first time, now I can do it in 15, ensuring everything's good. The documentation isn't terribly clear either because the actual mounting is a nonlinear process. You'll need to factor the rack mounting into your "getting ready" time. Tying up excess length on the straps is troublesome; you'll probably be rolling them up and taping them together. So you'll need tape with this rack. Last, its two screwknobs are easily lost and the product could have well been designed with a better mechanism for adjusting the rack to fit other cars. These are minor though, and the rack does carry a bike quite well.
Things to note about trunk racks in general:
They're easy theft targets; at the end of the day, the canvas straps can be cut and the whole assembly stolen. This is acceptable for driving and stopping along an interstate, but not for sitting in the Ikea lot all day. Mounting the rack also renders the trunk inaccessible, entailing some foresight when loading the car for a multi-stop trip.

Motegi Racing Series MR107 Gloss Black Finish Machined - 18 X 8 Inch Wheel Review

(More customer reviews)The Motegi MR107 are great rims. My stock rims were 18x7.5 and I wanted something a little wider. The 18x8 size coupled with 225/45/18 tires gave me the look in the video. This car is using stock shocks and springs. These look great in motion. On a side note, I had to buy acorn style lug nuts to go with these. The lug sits in deep.
