They work very well and clean the windshield quietly and very effectively.
Sure, you can spend $50 for two whole wiper arms and they'll still last only 6 months. For half the cost of even a cheap wiper arm, you can afford to replace them more often which is safer.
I like to give a bit of overhang on the sides where the wipers won't interfere so more of the glass gets cleaned.
Bottom line: Bring on the bad weather.
