Now that I have it, I wouldn't give it up. This works so well. You can control 90% of the headunit functions from this. You cannot control bass and treble, no big deal. You can hook any audio device with a mini headphone jack through this, too. I actually use this to control the stereo more than the stereo itself. When we are relaxed and lounging near the transom, it is easy to reach over and make adjustments as needed without getting up. My last system had a wireless remote. I spent a lot of time looking for it. Even though is had a "spot" to which we were supposed to return it, various users would stash it in cupholders, pockets, on the floor, etc... This one is ALWAYS in the same spot. A spot which you choose.
This unit has it's own display, too. You can see the changes you're making in direct sunlight. I agree with another reviewer: the weather band setting is nice. You can toggle through each mode with the push of a button. (CD,AM,FM,AUX,Weather)
BOTTOM LINE: It's a great product that will raise your level of enjoyment of your audio system.

Compatible with Dual's MX-DM70 marine stereo receiver, this wired remote control lets you change radio stations, skip tracks, and perform a host of other functions from your boat's dash while the actual receiver is stored safely out of the way. The MWR30 mounts conveniently in a standard gauge cutout or on a dash surface if you don't mind cutting a few holes in the top. Once installed, you'll enjoy complete control over the receiver--from cycling through sources (options include CD, AM/FM tuner, weatherband, and auxiliary) to adjusting the volume to finding your favorite CD track or radio station. As a bonus, the remote also includes its own auxiliary input for connecting an iPod, MP3 player, or satellite radio receiver. Want to listen to your entire iPod catalog while cruising the Puget Sound? Not a problem.
And don't worry about the weather, as the MWR30 is housed in a water-tight, UV-resistant casing. Additional features include a display with CD time and tuner information, all the necessary cables, and a mute button. The remote measures 4.35 by 2.44 inches and requires a mounting depth of 2.5 inches. It's also backed by a one-year warranty.
What's in the Box MWR30 remote control with attached 18-inch cable, 19.5-foot extension cable, mounting gasket and bracket, two 1.5-inch threaded posts, two nuts, two flat washers, two lock washers, user's manual.
