(More customer reviews)I replaced my "standard" driver-side wiper with this "bracketless" wiper about a month ago; just in time for a massive set of storms that moved through the DFW area. I have to say, I was fairly impressed. Though I was replacing older blades, I felt like this one did a solid job of wiping away the water without leaving streaks. It was relatively quiet while working and gave me a good view of the road. Basically, it did what it was supposed to do. That being said, there are some issues that I've encountered over the past month...
1. The blade works better at higher speeds, so wiping your windows after a bug hits them on a country road, or after you come out from work having parked under a tree, means performance is less impressive. The blades has little spoilers that are supposed to press it to the glass as air rushes over them, but if there's no air rushing over them, well...
2. The blade tips wobbles\ as it approaches vertical. I assume this is because the spoilers are catching the wind at an odd angle, but I found it somewhat distracting to see something wobbling out of the corner of my eye at the end of every vertical stroke.
3. After a month, streaks are starting to appear. Nothing major at all, but I would have expected "streakless-nes"s for much longer given the advertisement. I don't think it's any worse than normal blades, but it's not necessarily better. Perhaps the blade has some goop on it that needs wiping off? I'll have to look.
Overall, I like the looks of these blades and the performance when new. After a period of breaking in, however, I'm not convinced they're any better than your regular blades. No worse, of course, but no better either. I'm going to replace the passenger side with a new "standard" blade and try to report back in a month or so with a comparison.
