(More customer reviews)I just purchased a used 2007 Hyundai Tucson. Instead of paying 200+ dollars for the standard Yakima or Thule rack systems, I took a gamble and bought these in hopes that it wouldn't be a scam. All in all, I'm pleased. The cross bars are metal, but coated with some sort of plastic; they still seem strong enough. The feet that connect the cross bars to the bars that came on the Tucson don't connect perfectly, but I was able to tighten it down enough so it is all very sturdy feeling. The keys work well for locking the whole system on there, but the plastic protectors on the ends of the cross bars could have been made slightly better quality, as they come open a little if you bump them too hard. So those are the negatives, and the biggest positive has to be the price. You have to go into a purchase like this accepting that you aren't getting something made by Yakima, but for a quarter to a fifth of the price, I'd say it is worth it, because it does do the job. The Thule bike rails that I owned previously fit onto the bars fine, and it all works well enough. It all shipped very quickly.
